You’ve put some thought into selling Avon, but you haven’t quite made up your mind. My goal is to help you decide whether Avon is right for you.
There is a $15 investment for your kit. There are no hidden fees, you are NOT required to keep product on hand, and there are NO sales quotas. You will be provided with two campaigns worth of brochures, two full-size products, AVON button, eStore, access to exclusive training, samples, getting started brochure, and customer receipt book.
The only purchase you must make each campaign is for brochures. Without brochures, you will not have a store. The more “stores” you have, the more customers you will reach. I must give AVON credit on how they are able to keep the price of brochures at a low cost. 100 brochures are around $21.
You will be given your own eStore and be provided the tools to promote it as well. AVON has widgets geared around various social media sites. It’s as easy as copy and paste.
AVON has a dedicated training section on their website. It covers how to start your business, money management, how to gain customers, how to increase customer sales, to only name a few. These are videos which are approximately 15 minutes long and can be done at your own pace. There are also live webinars you can sign up for as well.
WHAT IS A CAMPAIGN?
Each brochure has a number (ex: Campaign 1, Campaign 2). A campaign is a two week period in which you are able to sell items from a particular brochure. For instance, you will have two weeks to sell from Campaign 1. During this two week period, you share brochures with friends, family, and co-workers.
Make sure to have brochures with you at all times as this allows you to share them with anyone you meet. For instance, let’s say you and a friend decide to have lunch at a local cafe. When it’s time to leave a tip, pull out a brochure and leave the money hanging out of the top. Trust me, waitresses like this very much. Plus, they are likely to share the brochure with their co-workers. There are many, many different ways to get your brochures to people. Anytime you are exchanging money with someone, hand them a brochure (person ringing up your groceries, person accepting a payment for a bill, person taking money in a drive-thru).
I recommend having all your customers pay you up front for their products. This ensures you will have the money to pay Avon for products ordered and your commission. Let me give an example. You have a $300 order which means you qualify to earn a commission of 35%. Your profit is $105 and Avon would receive $195 for the products ordered which will be delivered to your customers.
HOW MUCH CAN YOU EXPECT TO MAKE.
The average Avon Representative earns 30% to 35% on their personal sales. However, you can earn up to 50% when you achieve higher sales.
AVON is always giving us wonderful incentives to help us grow our business. In the past, representatives have earned iPads, trip to Orlando, 48″ Flat Screen TVs, Keurig coffee maker, bonuses, exclusive AVON branded merchandise, just to name a few. They are always adding something new!
You can expect to receive a discount on the products you order for yourself. Never worry about paying full-price ever again.
You will have access to order (not required) demonstration products two campaigns in advance. These items are deeply discounted. If you choose to take advantage of demonstration products, use them to show customers whether it be jewelry, shoes, clothing, lotion, etc.
Once you are finished browsing the online Avon catalogs, you can quickly place your order by shopping by product # on my website. Remember you can only order out of the current Avon campaign and 2 campaigns prior.
